Highland Park 18YO is predominantly matured in 1st fill European oak Sherry-seasoned casks, delivering a remarkable complexity over time. Jura 10YO is a whisky only Jura could make, shaped by its remote Scottish island home and a tradition of distilling that dates back to 1810. Crafted in exceptionally tall stills, it is matured for a decade in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels before being finished in fine aged Oloroso sherry casks from Jerez, Spain. Copper-gold in colour, it opens with aromas of vanilla, orange, cracked black pepper, and dark chocolate, leading to a smooth, sweet palate of nectarines, ginger, coffee, and toasted almonds. The smooth, oily start shines with sweet richness, before lemony citrus and sea salt add freshness and an explosion of spice to savour. The whisky has a powerful, peat-smoke aroma, and is described as being robustly full-bodied, well balanced, and smooth, with a slight sweetness on the palate. International Spirit ratings competitions have generally given Lagavulin's 16-year spirit extremely high scores.

The quintessential Islay single malt, crafted using a generations-old method on Scotland's rugged west coast. Bigger barrels don't mean better flavour. The proof is Laphroaig Quarter Cask, inspired by the old tradition of transporting whisky on packhorses. Fortunately for said horses, it was stored in smaller quarter casks that carry flavour into your dram today. Their reduced size means the spirit has more contact with the wood, amplifying the natural flavours of whisky first matured in ex-Bourbon barrels. Hints of coconut, banana and vanilla complement our instantly recognisable heavy peat flavour, followed by a long, sweet and smoky finish. This quarter cask whisky is barrier filtered to retain all the character developed in the small but mighty barrels. Oban is one of Scotland's oldest and smallest distilleries. Founded in 1794, the West Highland port town of the same name has grown around the distillery.
