This wine is layered with fragrant aromas of red apple, nectarine and lemon peel alongside toasted almond, nougat, a touch of spice and vanilla. Leefield Station is a range of wines that celebrate the history of the iconic sheep and beef station located in the heart of the Waihopai Valley. Purchased in 2013 by Marisco Vineyards, the property inspired us to go back to the beginning with our winemaking approach.

Pale pink coralish color, expressive nose with fresh red fruits and yellow fruits (peach) and a citrus touch. The aromatic palate has a beautiful red fruits and citrus expression and ends on a supple and greedy note.

The palate has an appealing plump roundness with peachy flavours and textures. A bit of tightness in the mid palate with a finish which is a little crisp and saline as well as being nice and dry. Lighter, textured dry white wines are super versatile when it comes to food or indeed as a stand alone drink or two after a hard day doing life. Match with pan roasted crispy skin snapper fillet, pomme puree, beurre blanc.
